Grace Person joined the LGC team in February 2019 as a Community Design Team Project Manager. She has a diverse background in public policy facilitation, project management and nonprofit experience, and for the past six years, Grace’s work included public engagement process design, small and large group facilitation, and stakeholder outreach on a range of public policy issues. Prior to joining LGC, Grace worked with federal, state, and local government agencies and nonprofit clients to engage a range of stakeholders around issues such as water policy, emergency response planning, disabilities communities’ access and functional needs, and organizational strategic planning. Her interest in public policy issues began when she was a Colorado College Public Interest Fellow assisting the Pikes Peak Community Foundation to provide grants to local community organizations to address a variety of pressing social and environmental community issues. Since then, she has worked for the Vermont State Legislature, the Vermont League of Cities and Towns, and the Consensus and Collaboration Program within Sacramento State’s College of Continuing Education.

Grace has a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School in Vermont where she studied federal environmental laws and policies, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from Colorado College in Colorado where she studied systemic causes and impacts of racial, economic, and environmental inequalities. Grace is originally from Northern California, and grew up in Grass Valley, Chico, and Sacramento.
